Education & Training

Dr. Michael Maccini earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.

He went on to complete a six-year urologic residency through the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA Medical Center in Denver. During his residency, Dr. Maccini received training in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery on the da Vinci® surgical system for both benign and malignant conditions, including pelvic organ prolapse. He also trained extensively in reconstructive urology, gaining experience in the surgical management of urethral stricture disease.

Certifications & Accomplishments

Dr. Maccini is board-certified by the American Board of Urology. He treats a broad range of urologic conditions, including urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, and cancers of the prostate, bladder, and testicle.

He was the first physician in the Inland Northwest to be designated a UroLift® Center of Excellence and is currently the only provider in the Spokane area offering the UroLift procedure in the office setting. Dr. Maccini is known for his commitment to patient education, comfort, and quality of life, and he strives to deliver personalized, effective care that improves each patient’s well-being.
