Referral Process for New Patients
Your Health Deserves Thoughtful, Coordinated Care
To ensure every patient receives the most appropriate care, Spokane Urology requires a referral from your primary care provider (PCP) before scheduling new appointments. This process helps us gather the information we need to match you with the right specialist and provide the most effective care.
How the Referral Process Works
- Your primary care provider submits a referral
You can share this guide with your primary care physician; however, in general, the referral must include:- A detailed reason for your visit or diagnosis
- Relevant imaging and lab results
- A list of any medications you’ve tried related to your condition
- Our clinical team reviews your referral
Every referral is carefully reviewed by our clinical staff to determine the best next steps in your care. This ensures we fully understand your health concerns and connect you with the right provider for your specific needs. - Prior authorization (if required)
If your insurance plan requires prior authorization, this must be completed before we can schedule your visit. - Scheduling your appointment
Once your referral has been received and reviewed, our office will contact you to schedule your appointment.
